Queen Elizabeth, Kate Middleton, and Prince Philip were out and about in London today to celebrate 150 years of the city’s Underground. The trio visited the Baker Street Underground Station this morning, and of course, the ladies looked great. Oh right, Phil did too.
HuffPost Style reports that the Queen’s collarless cream outfit is by Karl
Lagerfeld Ludwig and the hat is by her favorite go-to designer Angela Kelly. As for the Royal mum-to-be, she chose a teal Malene Birger coat dress, and coordinating black accessories.
But perhaps her best accessory was the “Baby on board!” pin presented to her by the London Underground’s chief operating officer Howard Collin. Pregnant women are given the pin by staff to alert gentlemen and other passengers to give up their seats for the moms-to-be. Kate cracked up when she received the pin, and according to the Daily Mail, said, “I’ll make sure I wear it at home.” Well, that sort’ve defeats the purpose of the pin, but whatever, she can do whatever she wants.
And is it just us, or are the Queen and Kate wearing coordinating outfits today? Their fancy outerwear both feature cool embellishments and trim around the neckline and down the front of the coat. Taking style cues from each other, eh?
