Kate Middleton is a classy lady, and as such, she typically eschews bodycon styles in favor of more classic cuts. But back in May, she ditched her usual look for a sexy (albeit demure!) Roland Mouret gown with a thigh-high slit down the front. So what’s it like to outfit the Royal mum-to-be in such a dress? In a new interview with The Telegraph, the designer tells all.
Most interestingly, it turns out that Kate made a special request for her Mouret gown in order to avoid unnecessary attention on her body à la Pippa, whose rear-end stole the show at the Royal Wedding. Writes the Telegraph:
[Mouret] disclosed that the Duchess has specifically requested that a cream Mouret gown she wore to a dinner at Claridge’s last year was cut slightly looser than the sample.
“She doesn’t want a bottom situation like Pippa had,” he said.
Indeed. So, let’s take another look at both Kate’s dress and Pippa’s butt, shall we?
this is some kind of spaceship or something.
