Are you as curious as we are about what Kate Middleton will be wearing on her upcoming visit to North America? Looking at the Duchess’ past outfits could be a hint. The Daily Mail reports that Kate will not have a dresser accompanying her in Canada and LA because she is ‘perfectly happy and comfortable’ picking her own clothes. Friends also say the Duchess will be intentionally wearing outfits already in her wardrobe on the tour. Judging by some (make that all) of her past clothing picks, we wouldn’t want it any other way.
Originally Kate and William’s press secretary sent out an advertisement for a stylist, but Kate insisted it was ‘a waste of money’ so the ad was pulled. She also said she did not want to be seen as a ‘clothes horse.’ We already know the Princess is no diva, but this just makes us like her even more, which we didn’t think was possible.
William and Kate will be accompanied by only seven staff members on their tour, including the Duchess’ beloved hairdresser, James Pryce. Pryce did Kate’s hair for the royal engagement photos (for which, by the way, Kate did her own makeup). The Royal couple will spend eight days touring Canada and finish the trip with a two-day stay in L.A, where they will attend a dinner hosted by the BAFTAs. We wouldn’t mind if Kate recycled this dress for the party!
