Earlier this morning, Kate Middleton ventured seaside for her last solo royal engagement, the Princess Cruises ship naming ceremony, before the birth of her baby. She marked the occasion by popping Moët (no, she didn’t drink it. The bottle was smashed against a ship in what we can only assume is some kind of British nautical tradition). But we digress — her look! Kate donned a £169 dalmatian print shift coat by British high street mainstay Hobbs, and topped off the ensemble with — what else? — a black fascinator.
The sure-to-be clamored after coat is still up on the Hobbs website but, as you might imagine, is completely sold out. You can still be a copy Kate thanks to the site’s ‘Complete The Look’ section where a similar fascinator, the Invitaion Imogen Hat, is still up for grabs for a cool £79.00.
Hobbs claims that dalmatian is the print of the season, but we think that the chain might be getting a little optimistic — their piece has just received the coveted royal blessing, so maybe the pattern might become a hot commodity. We’re just excited because we’ve never seen the Duchess make a major appearance in an animal print.
this is some kind of spaceship or something.
