UPDATE: And The Future King’s Name Is…

Finally, the moment everyone was waiting for after the real moment everyone was waiting for arrived and we got to first lay our eyes on the royal baby prince. Proving they’re ever the awe-inducing couple, Kate Middleton and Prince William left St. Mary’s Hospital wearing matching powder blue as they introduced their son to the world.

Middleton was glowing in her polka dot Jenny Packham dress, while William told the press “He’s got her looks that’s for sure!” We oohed and awed as we watched the live coverage from our office, and couldn’t help but notice how chic the British nurses get to dress in comparison to the Tweety delivery nurse scrubs we see here in the States. The couple was totally sentimental but tight-lipped when it came to the pressing questions.

William remained coy about the baby’s name:

“We’ll have it as soon as we can. But it’s the first time we’ve seen him really so we’re having a proper chance to catch up.”

Middleton then said:

“It’s very emotional and it’s such a special time. I think any parent, I think, probably could sort of know what this feeling feels like.”

And then William cracked a bit of a joke:

“I’ll remind him of his tardiness when he’s a bit older, because I know how long you’ve all been sat out here. Hopefully the hospital and you guys can all go back to normal now and we can go look after him. “

UPDATE: The new little Prince of Cambridge has officially been named George Alexander Louis, making him the future King George VII.
