Kate and Prince William‘s tour of Canada has done many things. First of all, it has confirmed the fact that the Duchess of Cambridge loves sleeves. Secondly, we now know that the couple wants kids. Yeah, neither of these are surprising things, but let’s look at the clothes!
This weekend, Kate wore two standout outfits, both dresses with sleeves. One was a gray collared Catherine Walker number with cuffed short sleeves that she paired with lizard Tabitha Simmons pumps. The other was a blue Erdem frock with lace across the top. She’s really into blue lacy Erdem on this trip! (If you recall, designer Erdem Moralioglu is Canadian.)
In the past few days she’s also worn a long-sleeved purple Issa dress and a sleeveless (though loose-fitting) cream Joseph dress. Note: almost everything Kate has worn so far has hit right above the knee.
And in a silly bit of speculation, there are reports that Kate told some Canadian dad that she indeed wants to have kids. Well, duh. Anyway, you can watch that bit below, and be sure to take a peek at what the Duchess has been sporting up north:
this is some kind of spaceship or something.
