It’s a sad day. The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have returned home to Britain (on a commercial flight, no less) and are no longer galavanting around North America in cowboy hats, fleece hoodies, and mauve McQueen gowns. On Sunday, the pair boarded a London-bound British Airways flight in Los Angeles after spending the day painting with impoverished children and putting together care packages for U.S. soldiers. But let’s get down to brass tacks, which is to say: what did Catherine wear?
For her final day, the Duchess chose a navy crochet top and pleated cream skirt from U.K. high street chain, Whistles — an apropos outfit for their socially-conscious day and civillian flight home. (Apparently the pair and their team took up more than a dozen seats in the flight’s first class section. Could you imagine boarding that flight and walking past Kate & Wills wearing matching sleep masks and oversized airplane socks? Amazing.)
Anyway, take a look at their last day. What do you think of Middleton’s final look?
this is some kind of spaceship or something.
