The Duchess wore a black and white printed Max Mara wrap dress that, yes, showed off a hint of a growing baby bump, paired with an Asprey pavé pendant and a glowing tan courtesy of her recent jaunt to Mustique with hubby Prince William. Kate seemed to be in good spirits despite last week’s bout of mini-scandals, from the long-lens bikini shots published by shameless tabloid editors, to the barbs from acclaimed novelist Hilary Mantel calling her “machine-made” and “as painfully thin as anyone could wish, without quirks, without oddities, without the risk of the emergence of character”.
While this latest outing isn’t likely to change Mantel’s conclusions, Middleton certainly gave off an air of good health on her visit to the center, and with five months to go until the baby is due, this won’t be Kate’s last public appearance.
