Lest anyone start to think Kate Middleton was just phoning it in with her flawlessly fitted dresses, sporty-appropriate skinnies, and classic blazers, the Duchess of Cambridge stunned in two different floral numbers while in Singapore on the first day of her and Prince William’s Diamond Jubilee Tour.
First, the pair took part in an orchid-naming ceremony — orchids are Singapore’s national flower and this one was being named in honor of Princess Diana — for which Middleton selected a pale pink Jenny Packham dress featuring a subtle orchid-print pattern. Later, for a lunch with the President and First Lady of Singapore, Middleton changed into a floral creation from Prabal Gurung’s pitch perfect (hence the headline) spring 2012 collection. Gurung, it’s worth noting, was born in Singapore.
Take a look at Middleton’s two choices below and tell us if you agree — we think she nailed it, in both style and diplomacy.
