Perhaps it’s unfair to pit Kate Middleton against her grandmother-in-law Queen Elizabeth. Both women have great style, not to mention 56 years separating them. But whatever. Let’s do it anyway! It’s a monochrome matchup…Liz the Wiz v. Kate the Great!
Both lovely royals were in Nottingham today, as part of the Queen’s East Midlands leg of her Diamond Jubilee tour. (That’s right, the festivities still aren’t over!) Kate recycled that blue tweed M Missoni coat that pissed everyone off back in March. She appeared to be appearing a lighter blue dress underneath the coat, as well as a coordinating navy hat, quilted clutch, and pair of heels.
Liz showed up in a double-breasted robin’s egg blue coat with a multi-colored floral dress underneath. Trendy! She wore a matching robin’s egg blue hat with flowers and arrows, and upped the class factor in pearls, gloves, and a diamond brooch. She obviously also wore her go-to patent black heels and bag.
So, who wins this style smackdown? We’re calling a draw, as each lady is dressed beautifully and appropriately for her age. Do you agree?
this is some kind of spaceship or something.
