When we saw Kate Middleton in a pale pink Emilia Wickstead frock two weeks ago, she was outshone by other royals. She wore the dress again today — to a garden party at Buckingham Palace — and we’ve definitely had a change of heart.
Kate, Queen Elizabeth, and 8,000 guests enjoyed afternoon tea at Buckingham Palace to celebrate the queen’s Diamond Jubilee and to honor those who work to improve public life.
When the duchess wore the dress to a luncheon with all the world’s royals, she donned satin Prada pumps and kept the other accessories to a minimum. She looked pretty, but she didn’t make our jaws drop.
This time around, we found the pale pink hue of Kate’s dress super feminine, and the accordion pleats really flattering. She accessorized with a raffia and lace Jane Corbett hat, her trusty L.K. Bennett platforms, and an Anya Hindmarch clutch. In short, she nailed the look.
