The last time Kate Middleton got all athletic, she
kicked her husband’s butt played field hockey in coral jeans and a gray hoodie. This time around, she opted for a pretty dress and wedges to play soccer, start a judo match, and dabble in ping pong with Prince William, Prince Charles, and a group of teenagers. And she obviously looked great.
The three Royals stopped by Bacon’s College in London this morning to help launch the Coach Core, a program that trains impoverished teens between the ages of 16 and 19 to become coaches and mentors. To kick off the program (ha!), the princes wore matching white button-down shirts, black trousers, and printed belts. It’s like they called each other up this morning! And what about our homegirl?
Kate donned a gray and white checked frock from British retailer Hobbs, a white belt, and nude wedges. The £35, or $54, dress is obviously sold out, thanks to the Kate effect. The neutral hues bring out her tan, and the entire outfit is cute, even though it was probably not the best choice for an athletic outing. But at least the frock was long enough to cover her bits and pieces when she bent down to chat with the kids and when she got super competitive at ping pong. Who knew the girl had hidden talents?
Seriously, this is probably our favorite Kate story (besides the Royal Wedding, of course). She looks so cheery, is doing something other than standing and waving, and we really want to hang out with her. Sigh.
See Kate doing a bunch of sporty things below:
this is some kind of spaceship or something.
