Did Star Photoshop A Baby Bump Onto Kate Middleton?

Not a week has gone by without a tabloid running a cover of Kate Middleton along with a headline alleging that she’s pregnant. The latest is Star magazine, which claims that Kate is pregnant with twins — the “proof” of which is in its cover photo. But has the cover just been airbrushed?

The cover is a wire image of Kate in a purple printed Prabal Gurung dress from her recent Diamond Jubilee Tour in Asia with Prince William. A columnist for The Huffington Post tweeted a side-by-side image of the Star cover and the supposedly original pic of Kate. HuffPost staffers broke down the two images, and concluded that some editing was done, citing that the original photo is flipped horizontally, sharp edges are blurred, and objects are readjusted.

We definitely don’t put it past tabloids and mags to digitally alter its cover stars and this one seems worse than others, but our biggest question is: why is everyone so damn concerned about Kate getting pregnant? This is a particularly private matter, and one that should be announced if and when it actually happens by Kate and Will themselves. Take it down a notch, people.

One last thought: you’ve all obviously seen those topless photos while the pair were on vacation (don’t even deny it). How on earth could Kate possibly be pregnant with twins?!
