OMFG. What happened to Kate Middleton‘s teeth? Nevermind, that’s just some fancy Photoshopping on the cover of The New Republic. Whew!
The mag is trying to make a point on the cover of its July 12th issue about the “rotting” of the British government. Knowing that Kate’s mug would sell like hotcakes, a set of bad teeth were digitally added to replace the Duchess’s own. (Does the image remind anyone else of Lindsay Lohan‘s scary set of chompers?)
As much as we dislike the idea of defacing Kate the Great’s image, it was a wise decision for The New Republic to use the Duchess as its cover girl. She never poses for magazines (except for her Vanity Fair cover with Will), so people will likely be surprised to see her face at the newsstands, and hopefully, buy the issue.
Fun fact: the mag seems to have taken a photo of Kate from last year’s Order of the Garter ceremony.
