Back in July, Kate Moss starred in George Michael‘s music video for “White Light”. The song was forgettable, and the video was eh, kind of cool, but now the pair have landed themselves a French Vogue cover. Pourquoi?
The October cover shot looks more like a red carpet pic than a staged photo by Mario Testino, but Moss is undeniably fetching in a red sparkly number. The same can’t be said for Michael, who bears an unfortunate resemblance to a wax museum version of himself.
Despite the bad airbrushing, we also have to question the timing and peg of the cover — Moss and Michael’s collaboration occurred months ago, and neither are making any particularly big waves in their respective industries, so why them and why now?
