Kate Moss Is So Over ‘Flowery Little Things’

"I have grown up since then, and things that I want to wear are different."

Topshop‘s collaborations with Kate Moss were an instant hit for the high street shop. During its debut in 2007, the collection immediately sold out and Topshop’s sales increased by 10 percent. By 2010, Moss released a whopping 109-piece collection, including past bestsellers, before the collab went on hiatus.

Now, Moss is back with her fifteenth collection and this release still stays true to what the model finds stylish for music festivals, summer soirées, and vacations. In a Q&A with Topshop’s blog Inside-Out, Moss sums up her designs in three words: “Me, me, me…”

But what Moss also reveals that her latest designs are “a bit more sophisticated” than what she used to wear. In other words, Moss has matured over the past seven years.

I have grown up since then, and things that I want to wear are different. It is a natural evolvement. … I was girlier then, and I could still get away with wearing flowery little things. We still have tea dresses in the collection but they are more grown up now…

Check out Inside-Out to see mood boards for Moss’s design, the shortest behind-the-scenes video ever, and the model’s design studio playlist with songs by Fleetwood Mac, Michael Jackson, Inner City, and more.
