By now even her biggest detractors really can’t deny it: Kate Upton has successfully infiltrated the high fashion world. And you know what? Her covered-up spreads aren’t too shabby.
Hot on the heels of her much-buzzed about CR Fashion Book cover, Upton is again front and center, this time for French glossy Jalouse. The Floridian had to make do without the assistance of an armful of baby chicks this time around (or, you know, a dripping patriotic popsicle), but she did have some fancy threads on hand by the likes of Dior, Louis Vuitton, and Prada. We’ve seen her do high fashion before (in Vogue, no less) but the ensembles she sports in these Alexei Hay-lensed shots are downright puritanical! To wit: the stylist managed to track down a vintage cashmere Azzedine Alaïa balaclava that covers up pretty much everything except for Upton’s face in most of the photos. A far cry from her Cat Daddy days, eh?
And all this has got us thinking…wondering if we’ll be seeing Ms. Upton strut the hallowed runways of Paris Fashion Week?
this is some kind of spaceship or something.
