Model Kate Upton joins cover star Kristen Stewart in the Spring Preview edition of V magazine, looking gorgeously retro and clothed in the likes of Balenciaga, Marc Jacobs, and Louis Vuitton. The camera follows Upton on an illicit afternoon affair at a hotel with a boyish companion (culminating in a rebuke from none other than the maid) in an attempt to embody Spanish filmmaker Luis Bunuel’s “bored, bourgeois beauty,” says the magazine.
Upton confessed in Vogue UK this month that she has trouble with the less-than-ample undergarments provided on photoshoots for her enviable physique, but from the looks of this editorial — which features Upton and model Liam Dean in rumpled sheets, tousled hair, and various states of undress — stylist Julia von Boehm has figured it out. Her much-discussed decolletage appears well-supported, and Upton gives Christina Hendricks a run for her money in the sultry 60’s vixen department.
Upton was shot by photographer Sebastian Faena (the two worked together for the very naked cover of Muse magazine last spring as well), with hair and makeup by Didier Malige and Jeannine Lobell, respectively. Click through the pictures below for a better look.
this is some kind of spaceship or something.
