Here’s a bit of lady magazine lore for you: Cosmopolitan editor-in-chief Kate White was once featured on the cover of arch-rival Glamour.
White snagged the cover by winning Glamour‘s Top Ten College Women contest, which inspired her to model for a bit. She went on to become an editorial assistant at the mag, and also held positions as a feature writer and columnist at Glamour. After stints at Child, Working Woman, McCall’s, and Redbook, she eventually landing at Cosmo, where she’s been EIC since 1998.
