Stylist Kate Young is used to dressing clients like Michelle Williams and Natalie Portman in four-figure designer gowns, if the just-released ad campaign is any indication, she’s channelling that skill set in her upcoming Target collection.
For her collection, and Target’s first collab with a stylist, Young went with what she knows best — semi-formal and formal frocks, separates, and accessories. But no matter how nice the dress is, the only way to make every plebe feel like a star is with a red carpet, which explains the Terry Richardson-lensed ad campaign. Young dressed DJ Leigh Lezark, models Hailey Gates and Lily Kwong, and actress Nathalie Love in pieces from the collection and had them stand on a red carpet in front of a logoed step-and-repeat as if they were attending a star-studded event.
We’ll no doubt see the same step-and-repeat at a press event in a few weeks, but we’ve got our eyes on the adorable Peter Pan-collared dress instead. Check out the ads below:
