Osbourne had just finished admonishing the great pretenders who cause drama by demanding first row seats (“Don’t take it so seriously. Consider yourself lucky that you’re invited and here and get to see all of the beautiful clothes before anyone else,” she said to a camerawoman) when we got to her and asked who she’s wearing to the Academy Awards. Unfortunately her lips are sealed by contractual obligation.)
“I can’t say! I’m not allowed to say,” she lamented when we asked whether she’d be wearing Zac Posen again. “But it’s being made for me especially … and I’ll be doing it with the designer, hopefully.”
But she did say that she’s hoping people will have a little more fun when they get dressed this time — especially after how “safe” the red carpets at some of the other awards shows have looked this year.
“The fun of getting dressed up for an award show is almost getting lost,” she said. And I think for me, that novelty will never wear off. I love it. And I love seeing gowns. Whether somebody looks bad or great, it’s still so much fun to see. And when someone looks great in what they’re wearing they exude a certain confidence which creates this atmosphere, which makes everything so much fun. But with Oscars, I just hope that it’s a lot more colorful, put it that way.”
Well said, Osbourne. Well said.
