Despite WWD‘s latest report that Kim Kardashian is basically the worst person you could possibly put on your magazine cover short of a couture-clad Asma al-Assad, New York magazine is banking on the reality star to be a hit for their annual Fall Fashion Issue. Even the magazine itself doesn’t seem too convinced that she deserves to be there, though, given that the coverline reads “Does Kim Kardashian Belong On The Cover Of A Fashion Magazine?”
NYC-based photog Julia Chesky snapped the below photo of the mag’s cover, which features Kim staring in the distance, no doubt deep in thought about Kanye West and how next to broadcast their love over Instagram. We’re intrigued about the inside profile — so much so that we trekked over to our local newsstand this AM only to be told we’d have to wait till tomorrow to get our hands on the issue. Plans = foiled.
For now we’ll have to settle with the below image, and pine for last year when Andrej Pejic fronted the issue (and, unlike Kim, unquestionably deserved it).
