Get ready to be jealous of Kim Kardashian in a way that you’ve never been jealous of Kim Kardashian before. Word has it that the reality TV star will walk down the aisle to marry New Jersey Nets forward Kris Humphries in bespoke Christian Louboutin shoes and a custom gown from wedding dress designer Vera Wang.
Because Kardashian doesn’t already own copious pieces from both labels, the star went to the Christian Louboutin store in New York’s West Village on Saturday “to try some on for size,” according to Page Six. Then on Monday, Kim, sister Kourtney and their E! camera crew went to Vera Wang’s studio to talk about the dresses. A source told OK! that Kim “is going to have at least two, possibly three custom Vera Wang gowns.”
And of course, Wang is a good choice for a wedding dress. Her multi-million dollar global fashion business was built on the back of the wedding dresses that everyone from Chelsea Clinton to Hillary Duff have worn down the aisle. Wang even designed the dress that Kim’s sister Khloe wore at her wedding in 2009. Who better to design two or three custom gowns for Kim’s big day?
As for the shoes, well, we really didn’t expect any other cobbler to get his hands on Kim’s feet any time soon. We’d say there’s a good chance she’ll have a Loub named after her before her wedding bells start ringing.
