Women’s Wear Daily reports that issue of the magazine, which went on newsstands this week pushed almost unprecedented traffic to the magazine’s website. In the past four days, People.com has had close to 6 million pageviews from people looking for those sought-after wedding pictures. Per WWD:
The story, “Kim Kardashian: ‘It Was Like We Were in Heaven’ ” drove 50 percent more page views on people.com than “Reese’s Perfect Day,” which got 540,000. The Kardashian story also garnered more than double the amount of page views than last week’s cover story: “Inside the Jolie-Pitt Family,” which resulted in 400,000 page views.
Dang. Looks like that big investment the magazine made really paid off. Before the wedding, we reported that the people at People had ponied up an estimated $2.5 million for the exclusive rights to publish pictures from the wedding.
