Among the many, many people who made an appearance at Friday’s incredibly
crowded well-attended Fashion’s Night Out was none other than Senator Kirsten Gillibrand. The New York congresswoman wore a conservative but flattering black dress by Nanette Lapore, whose store was her first stop of the night. She then headed to Saks, where she boogied down on the dance floor with a dapper aide sporting a pinstriped suit, fedora and white lace-ups.
“It generates ten billion dollars in salaries. It’s a fundamentally New York industry! We have double the number of designers that Paris has. We need to keep manufacturing in the city so new designers can come in and sell pieces to Barneys. Allowing young, cutting-edge newcomers to thrive in New York is great for the industry in the long-term.”
Agreed, Kirsten! That’s music to our fashion-loving ears.
this is some kind of spaceship or something.
