If you hadn’t already heard, Kim Kardashian‘s big sister Kourtney is pregnant for a second time with her (well, not husband, but we’ll call him life partner?) life partner Scott Disick. And while we’re happy for them and their adorable son Mason, who’ll be getting a little brother or sister, we’re also a little confused as to why Kourtney didn’t let the people at Glamour know. She and her sisters are on the cover of the January issue.
We got a sneak preview of the issue yesterday, and in it Kim, Kourtney and Khloe mainly focus on the news story of the century, Kim’s divorce from basketball player Kris Humphries. And yeah, we totally get that magazines have major lead times and probably interviewed the girls shortly after news of the divorce went public, we’d also think that Kourtney — nay, the entire family — would have the media awareness to pick up the phone and at least call whoever wrote the story about her sisters when she found out she was in the family way. That’s a huge detail, and a perfect way to prove that the Kardashian family is going to keep on keeping on, even when one of their own is down on her luck. (Worth noting: Kim did the same thing to Marie Claire just a few weeks ago, neglecting to tell them about her divorce ahead of its December issue going to press.)
Then again, she’s only nine weeks along — perhaps she didn’t even know she was pregnant in time to notify Glamour of her good news?
At any rate, Kourtney announced her pregnancy today in Us Magazine, saying that while she wasn’t planning on having another baby, she’s happy about bringing another child into the world.
“Now I’m nine weeks along,” Kardashian tells Us. “You’re supposed to wait 12 weeks to tell people, but I feel confident.”
We wish her and Scott all the best of luck — and we sort of can’t wait to see how steezy this new kid will undoubtedly be. But we also hope Glamour finds a way to include this in its January cover story, and fast. Those issues have to be on newsstands in about two weeks.
