Kristen Stewart did a live chat online yesterday as part of her gig as spokesmodel for Balenciaga‘s Florabotanica fragrance. Rather than go the full scheduled half hour, the interview only lasted 16 minutes and was filled with a whole lot of fidgeting and stilted questions like “If Florabotanica were a movie, what movie would it be?” and “Describe the ‘personality’ of the fragrance.”
Fans (and, yes, quite a few haters) submitted over 5,000 questions to Balenciaga that ran the gamut from “What makes you realize that Robert Pattinson is the one that keeps you alive?” to “Would you let your boyfrend lick your armpits if you sprinkle it by Florabotanica?” Alas, neither of these queries made the cut, so we mostly learned that Stewart thinks the fragrance is “sort of warm, it’s sort of hot” and would describe it with the three words “dangerous,” “French,” and “fresh.”
She did, however, also have some nice words about her friend and Balenciaga designer Nicolas Ghesquière, whose show she recently attended in Paris:
Because I’ve had to do this for quite a while, since I was really little…he’s really one of the only guys I’ve ever met in this world [the fashion industry] that literally I feel like I’m working for a director almost, you know what I’m saying? It truly does come from a place that’s so creatively impulsive. You know, because fashion can be a very superficial, really surface-level thing that is really all about money and image, He creates a show…it’s like watching a movie.
