Kristen Stewart was on Jay Leno last night, promoting her new movie Snow White and the Hunstman.
The 22-year-old wore an orange Rebecca Minkoff blazer, Dolce & Gabbana James Dean t-shirt, skinny black leather J Brands, and *gasp* flats. Lest you think that she eschewed heels for anything other than the most grievous of injuries, however, Stewart clarified that she sustained a nasty “puncture wound” while filming scenes for Breaking Dawn in Vancouver. It seems it also caused her to walk with a bit of a limp. “I wasn’t trying to walk with ultimate swag,” she laughed.
Leno noted that the British press (or Glamour UK, to be more specific) name her the “Best Dressed” Woman of 2012. Indeed, the actress has been getting a lot of love from across the pond as of late, also covering the May issues of Elle UK and Jalouse. K-Stew, however, isn’t quite sold on the idea of being a British fashion icon. When asked if she feels pressured to be named “best dressed” when she hits the red carpet, she responded:
No, especially when I’m in London I do feel so stuck to California and young. They’re always so smart and chic and I can’t really swing with that one so no – I think it’s kind of funny actually.
Perhaps not, but we’re still looking forward to seeing whether Stewart will be getting gussied up in Prada’s finest for the Met gala on Monday. Last year she went as the date of Proenza Schouler designers Lazaro Hernandez and Jack McCollough and, though the duo is said to be taking Isabel Lucas this year, word on the street is Stewart will still be making an appearance on the red carpet.
