We’re used to seeing Lady Gaga covered up (well, mostly, anyway) in layers of awesome clothing and even more awesome makeup. So you can imagine how shocked we were when the mother monster took off everything (and we mean everything) for the October issue of Harper’s Bazaar.
Gaga took it all off — and we mean it all — for the cover photo, which proudly proclaims ” Lady Gaga Bares All.” That might be true of the cover, on which she’s not wearing any makeup or clothing, and hopefully no Photoshop, either, but what we’ve been allowed to read of the coordinating story seems pretty tame. Gaga says things like “Whether I’m wearing lots of makeup or no makeup, I’m always the same person inside,” and “I think what has been lovely about my relationship with the public is that they expect something unexpected from me.”
All of which is true, but that’s not the kind of baring all we’re looking for. (When’s that wedding happening, Stef?!) Then again, it’s just a teaser. Maybe we’ll find out more when the magazine hits newsstands across the country on Sept. 27. For now, what do you think of the cover?
