We didn’t get to see Lady Gaga when she performed at Madison Square Garden in February, but we are fully planning on watching the concert she performed there when it airs on HBO on May 7. Of course we’d watch just about anything that features her at her craziest, most highly styled best, but this preview video makes us want to tune in even more.
HBO filmed Gaga on her way to the Garden (and in other less famous parts of New York) talking about her rise to fame and how thankful she is for her fans — and we think that, more than anything, is why we’re so enamoured of her. She’s grateful and never lets us forget that we’re the reason she has everything she has. And she says the moment she loses sight of that is when she’ll stop being famous.
I told so many people for so long I was a superstar when I wasn’t, and one morning I woke up and the delusion was real.
I’m still the same person that I was six years ago before all of this happened and I still walk down the same streets and go to the same delis and I drink my coffee the same. I always want a little dirt on my shoe.
We have to imagine those Noritaka Tatehana platforms can accrue their fair share of dust. Here’s to unclean footwear! (And to not having enough money for a large coffee, to which we can totally relate.)
