Lady Gaga and Terry Richardson are kind of a match made in provocateur heaven, so it should come as no surprise that the pair are joining forces to take their partnership to the big screen with a film documenting the pop star’s life and the making of her upcoming album “ARTPOP”.
Gaga took to Twitter yesterday to confirm the project to her 30 million-odd followers as a twisted Christmas gift of sorts — one that will likely be heavy on the nudity, body talk, thumbs ups, and on-the-road-antics. Here’s what the Lady had to say:
Merry Christmas little monsters! Terry Richardson @Terry_World is making a #LadyGagaMOVIE documenting my life, the creation of ARTPOP + you!
Thank you for being so patient waiting for my new album ARTPOP I hope this gets u excited for things to come. I love you with all my heart!
i love you @Terry_World thank you for believing in me and my fans, I have looked up to you and your work for so long, its a dream come true!
The pair have already collaborated on a coffee table book (one which we imagine you didn’t gift to your grandmother this year) and Gaga regularly pops up on Terry’s Diary, Richardson’s photography blog, but this will be the biggest dose we’ve had of their creative love affair yet.
Are you thrilled about the news? Or would you rather these two just went away?
