The Vogue Paris cover photo of Lara Stone released last week was just a small window into one of the most stunning spreads of the summer. Inez van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin photographed a star-studded group of supermodels for Vogue Paris’ August issue. Styled by Emmanuelle Alt, Suzanne Koller and Melanie Ward, the models wear gorgeous designs from Miu Miu, Stella McCartney, Lanvin and Missoni.
Covergirl Lara Stone, along with fellow models of the moment, Freja Beha Erichsen, Isabeli Fontana, Natasha Poly and Arizona Muse, pose in the retro Americana spread, shot in L.A. The photos are all as unique as the models themselves — some shots highlight the color and pattern contrasts between the California sky and the designer frocks, while others were shot in black and white. Backdrops for the spread range from L.A, streets to the suburbs to the desert.
The photos are truly fantastic — the clothing is fabulous, the models look absolutely stunning, and it’s kind of fun to see such iconically American scenery in the French magazine. See for yourself, below.
this is some kind of spaceship or something.
