Last week, word circulated around the fashion community that model Lara Stone might be getting married over the weekend to her fiancee, comedian David Walliams, but details on the dress, the location, and the guestlist were all few and far between.
Well, it happened. The rumors were true, and Lara got married on Sunday at the Claridge’s Hotel in London. Stone walked down the aisle in a gold lace trimmed and thigh-high slitted gown designed by Givenchy’s Ricardo Tisci. Following the ceremony, the model changed into a gold spagetti strapped and belted mini dress. We have yet to see a full shot of the wedding dress, but we’re loving Stone’s sexy post-ceremony get up.
The couple had 120 guests who, after a brief half an hour ceremony, were brought into Claridges’ main ballroom to find copious amounts of white roses and tea candles, arranged by famed florist to the stars Rob Van Helden. The event was mostly alcohol free — due to the bride’s stint in rehab — and the happy couple toasted to glasses of popcorn instead of champagne.
Attendees included Linda Jeuring, Tom Ford, Russell Brand, Denise van Outen, Ronnie Corbett, Barbara Windsor, and Natalie Imbruglia. The guestlist seemed more actor-heavy than fashion-heavy (many of the guests were the groom’s fellow comedian friends), and many of the attendees’ outfits were… questionable.
But why try and dress up when you know you’ll be light years behind the bride’s gorgeousness? Lara looked absolutely angelic.
