We’ve told you all about how much we love Lea T, so we’re happy to report that she has scored her first magazine cover. The Riccardo Tisci muse starred in Givenchy‘s fall/winter 2010 ad campaign and posed nude for French Vogue, but her first cover is a real coup for the transgender model.
To refresh your memory, the Brazilian Lea was born Leandro Cerezo. She met Tisci in London, where he was studying at Central St. Martins. He helped her acknowledge her “inherent femininity,” encouraging her to wear heels and explore her identity. While her transition has not been easy, she explains it was necessary: “The choice is between being unhappy forever or trying to be happy.”
We think Lea looks beautiful in Givenchy on the cover shot by Italian photographer Carlotta Manaigo — do you agree?
this is some kind of spaceship or something.
