Lily Collins Talks Body Ink: ‘Waxing Hurts More Than Tattoos’

Lily LuckyLily Collins has a serious fan base over here at Styleite. The actress has the makings of a style icon. She can already flawlessly transition from Audrey Hepburn glam to punk rock. Her brows are on their way to putting tweezer companies out of business, and she has mastered the art of the vampy lip.

Collins covers the April issue of Lucky wearing a Saint Laurent lips print wrap dress and a neck full of hardware. The star chatted with the magazine about her minimalist beauty routine, her ever changing style, and that time she road a mechanical bull at Chanel’s annual Métiers d’Art show in Dallas—while wearing $80,000 earrings.

And even though she is rock royalty, the 25-year-old is so down to earth that she baked the Lucky photo-shoot crew gluten-free vegan brownies and wore affordable Steve Madden booties to her interview. Phil Collins‘ daughter is the ultimate cool girl, who also happens to love tattoos.

The Lancôme beauty ambassador has “Love, always and forever” tattooed on the nape of her neck, a crown above a winged heart on her wrist, and an English rose on her foot.

“I’ve always loved body art,” Collins says. “I remember being with my mom on Venice Beach when I was really young, and we walked by this guy on a Harley who was covered in tattoos. I was this little British girl, and I went up to him and said ‘Your tattoos are so pretty!’ That was probably the last thing he wanted to hear.”

Don’t even bother asking her if getting inked was painful.

“Look, women go through worse things,” she says. “Waxing hurts more than tattoos. And tattoos are permanent, so if it takes a little pain to get there, that’s okay.”

Yep, it’s official. We love her even more. Ready the entire story at
