And we thought German GQ had good timing! Vanity Fair has scored the ultimate cover coup of all. According to Gossip Cop, Lindsay Lohan was scheduled for the mag’s October cover and contrary to her dealings with Complex mag, Lohan followed through with the cover interview — only days before she went to jail.
We’re also told Lohan did a photo shoot in L.A. on her birthday (July 2) aboard what was once Judy Garland’s yacht.
A source says the shoot by Norman Jean Roy was “amazing,” and comprises “some of the most beautiful photos of Lindsay” ever taken.
Lohan was dressed in an evening gown, which covered her SCRAM bracelet, and looks like a glamorous movie star from Hollywood’s Golden Age.
The cover, interview, and shoot were scheduled months ago and meant to coincide with the release of her latest film — the one where she dresses up as a nun — Machete. Talk about winning the legal lottery. Apparently Lohan spoke openly with Vanity Fair about her, um, “legal predicament,” though the mag is refusing to comment.
We’ll be honest — we’re excited. First off, we’re suckers for a good Lindsay Lohan editorial — especially when in in the oh-so-capable hands of Vanity Fair — and the last time Lohan covered the glossy, no small amount of controversy ensued. Lohan alleged the interviewer falsified some of her statements — including admissions to drug use and bulimia — while Vanity Fair stood by their profile. I think we all know who was telling the truth.
Anyway, fingers crossed and we’ll keep you updated. If this actually happens, we have a feeling the October issue is going to sell like hotcakes.
