We dug up a series of photos from when London hosted the summer games 104 years ago in 1908. Unsurprisingly, the Olympics changed so much in a century that they’re barely recognizable, and yet the games themselves have stayed more or less the same — they were bringing people together back then just like they are now. (Sorry that was really sappy, we couldn’t help ourselves.) Let these images take you back to a simpler time, when there was no drama over diamond-studded grills or skimpy volleyball uniforms. Enjoy!
this is some kind of spaceship or something.
