You know that saying, “we’ll cross that bridge when we come to it”? Well, that time has finally come for the Louis Vuitton “Alma” bag, which has earned its very own ad campaign nearly 80 years after its creation. The tagline: “Chic on the bridge”.
WWD reports that Steven Klein photographed models Karlie Kloss, Daria Strokous, Jac Jagaciak, and Iris Strubegger in the brand’s pre-fall 2013 collection, carrying handbags in city-specific colors that connote the backdrops of Paris, New York, and Shanghai.
For the former, French blue bags take center stage on the Pont de l’Alma, while taxicab yellow Vuittons are toted across the Brooklyn Bridge in the NYC photo. In the final shot, the lipstick red shade is set off against the inky Shanghai sky. Suffice it to say, the girls look far more sophisticated than your average bridge-and-tunnel crowd.
