If you thought that the big money real estate on Boardwalk and Park Place was as sophisticated as board games could get, think again. Louis Vuitton pays homage to the low-tech pastimes of billiards, chess, cards, dominos, and more in their latest animated film. Why, you ask? Well, that’s exactly what we’re wondering.
According to their official website, Monsieur Vuitton’s grandson Gaston-Louis was a board game enthusiast, making and collecting his own sets and even hiring yo-yo-wielding jugglers for the shop windows when he took over the company in the 1930s. To salute this slice of their history, Vuitton commissioned the trippy animated short you see below, created by graphic artist Honet.
Our main takeaway, however, is that this would make for an awesome Mario Kart course. How’s that for a collaboration idea?
