Don’t know about you, but growing up I was completely captivated by a little television show called “Where in the World is Carmen Sandiego?” Oh, how I dreamed of playing detective, being tapped to track the show’s elusive and thieving villainess around the globe and ultimately earn the right to go to the map. Well, my shot at educational game show stardom might have come and gone, but I couldn’t help but wax nostalgic over Louis Vuitton‘s latest “Where in the World” inspired collaboration with Todd Selby.
There’s no Sandiego in sight, but international tastemakers are a plenty as the influential photo-blogger trips it across continents in an interactive fashion, mapping every step for Vuitton in “The Journey of a Man’s Wardrobe.” Apparently, the Paris portion of the tour went up a few weeks ago with a look behind the scenes at the iconic brand’s ‘top secret’ headquarters. And this week they’ve added some snaps from Shanghai. As always we’re loving his stylish brand of sleuthing and the unique visual passport into the private lives and the spaces of these three influential Chinese designers.
But no rest for the jet-set. According to the map, the U.S. lensed leg of the tour goes up on May 12th. My curiosity is piqued. I can’t wait to see who gets captured in New York. Now… hit it, Rock-a-pella!
