Lucky Apologizes For Its Questionable Britney Spears Cover

Many people — most notably, perhaps, ourselves — took issue with one particular aspect of Lucky‘s December cover, which features Britney Spears in what appears to be one very unfortunate wig. Or, of course, one very unfortunate Photoshop job.

Well, it looks like the magazine has heard our cries, and in a move that is rather uncharacteristic for a monthly glossy, took to their Twitter page to apologize for messing with the tresses of the beloved pop star:

Thank you all for sharing your thoughts on our cover! As always, we will share with our team and we’re sorry to have let some of you down.

No indignation, no “we’re sorry you feel that way but we’re not sorry sorry”…kind of refreshing, no? Now we’ll just have to wait and see if this translates to more natural-looking hairlines for their future cover stars. We can only hope! After all, we saw better wigs on faux-Marilyns and Lindsays (and, best of all, Yayois) at our Halloween parties this weekend.
