All we have ever wanted is to be a part of one of Lady Gaga‘s outfits. And we’re not kidding. We’d love to say to the mother monster, “You’d look really good in, like, 30 or 40 Pamela Love bangles and rings constructed into horns on top of your head,” or “Have you ever thought of wearing a skirt made of tins of Rosebud Salve?” Alas, we feared we’d never get the chance.
But while we might not get the chance to advise Gaga on what to wear (that’s the sole right of Nicola Formichetti), we could all have the opportunity to be on one of her outfits. When Gaga partnered with MAC cosmetics on its latest Viva Glam campaign, they started an initiative called The Masterpiece, a campaign to get people to submit photos of themselves to be used in a Gaga garment. It’s meant to be the biggest fashion collaboration in the world and a celebration of the people (the fans) who make Gaga’s fusion of art, fashion, music and celebrity a worldwide possibility.
So how do you submit a photo? Go to the Viva Glam website, read up on The Masterpiece, then join the effort and upload a photo. It could become part of “a wearable piece of art.” And what could be cooler than that?
