Fashion designers sure do love their toys. From finger puppets to $1500 teddy bears; Chris Benz for Barbie to collaborations with the Muppets, we can’t seem to get enough of these stylish (and often expensive!) throwbacks to our youth.
So it should come as no surprise that Marc Jacobs, he of the Simpsons tattoo and penchant for kitschy knick-knacks has produced a South Park plush doll in his likeness. The tatted doll made an appearance in on the show back in November in an Occupy Wall Street-themed episode, after which Marc clearly summoned his minions and had them create an IRL version for his die-hard fans. Jacobs also released a series of t-shirts featuring South Park characters earlier this year and was the first designer ever to be included in a South Park episode — an honor he no spent his career doubt striving for. After all, who needs CFDA awards when you can be immortalized by Cartman and Kenny?
The limited edition 12″ doll retails for $125 and is filed under ‘Gifts and Special Items’ in the brand’s online store, which means you should probably act fast and pick up one for that special somebody in your life. And while you’re at it why not pick up a middle finger statue for that not-so-special someone? One stop shopping, MJ style.
