They say life imitates art, and for Mark Indelicato (best known for his role as Justin Suarez on the short-lived and sorely missed show Ugly Betty), that’s definitely the case.
Mark’s character character did a short stint as an intern at Mode, the glossy fashion magazine the show revolved around, and now the actor is working as a real-life intern at Teen Vogue.
But he was quick to tell the folks at Crushable that this isn’t a Kanye West or Sean Avery-type of internship.
“No, it’s like a real internship … like they have me putting together boxes and stuff. They don’t treat me like a celebrity.”
The editors here at Styleite can attest to “putting boxes together and stuff” at magazines as being totally unglamorous (if kinda fun) work. As interns, we traipsed down the halls of the Hearst Tower and the Conde Nast building with thousand-dollar armfuls of clothing and accessories, and made copies and dinner reservations for countless editors. We’re better people for it, and while we don’t know much about what Mark is doing at Teen Vogue, our guess is that he’ll definitely learn a lot.
