Last night’s Met Gala celebrated the opening of the Costume Institute‘s Schiaparelli and Prada: Impossible Conversations exhibit, which provided a bit of an implicit dress code. While not everyone took it to heart, plenty of guests embraced trompe l’oeil prints, whimsical flourishes, intricate embellishments, and Schiaparelli pink.
Fittingly, it was Anna Wintour who best embodied the spirit of the night. Miuccia Prada designed a one-of-kind dress for the Vogue EIC: a modern take on Elsa Schiaparelli’s iconic lobster dress. Genius.
this is some kind of spaceship or something.
