Yesterday, aspiring chefs age eight to twelve from around the country joined Michelle Obama at the White House for an extra-healthy, junior version of a State Dinner. Fittingly, the First Lady chose a verdant dress by American designer Barbara Tfank for the occasion, which she paired with bright blue pumps and a single string of pearls. She last wore the dress to an awards ceremony in 2010, so we’re glad to see she’s pulled it out from the back of her capacious closet.
We’re huge fans of both the sweetheart neckline and the leafy print on the dress, but then all of MObama’s Tfank outings have been among our favorites to date – take the ladylike pale blue silk number she wore to meet Kate Middleton for instance, or her show-stopping cobalt State of the Union dress. Surefire hits, every one of them.
this is some kind of spaceship or something.
