We were Team Anna throughout the did-they-or-didn’t-they cancellation of Miley Cyrus’ December Vogue cover last week, but perhaps Condé Nast underestimated Cyrus’ tongue-retracting ability.
The starlet who will soon be responsible for Bangerz has now scored herself the cover of Harper’s Bazaar’s October issue, and she looks absolutely stunning.
On the cover Miley wears a little black Burberry Prorsum dress and soft blonde hairstyle, and has removed her trusty foam finger to reveal a polished manicure in classic red. The cover was shot by Terry Richardson, who also lensed her couture-heavy shoot for the magazine’s September issue before immediately shattering our delight and permanently damaging our eyeballs by doing this.
Inside the magazine is the Miley we know and love. Of her newfound love for high fashion, she says:
“I feel like every girl is trying to have a beauty shot and prove that they’re ‘fashion.’ But I can be in white leggings and a white sports bra and I’m on a whole other level of shit that those girls don’t even get yet because they don’t know how to do it.”
Maybe we just don’t get it either, but we prefer Burberry to new levels of shit.
