Myspace may not be relevant anymore, but that didn’t stop a slew of L.A. stars from turning out for their party last night. We know why they were really there, we’d go to serious lengths to see Pharrell Williams perform “Get Lucky” live, too. As tends to be the case with left coast red carpets, the crowd erred on the side of casual.
As we watch the former Disney star Miley Cyrus keep trying her hand at this ‘bad ass’ persona, we’re growing a little tired of it. While she rocked her punk rock Met Gala look, last night’s Alexander Wang bralette and sweatpants/denim hybrid seemed a bit forced. Really, the whole thing looked like something Rihanna would have donned last year. Remember the days when she got it right?
Dianna Agron always looks as impeccable as her Glee character (barring that half-season punk phase), but her Marc Jacobs look was a little prim for this event. Olivia Wilde, on the other hand, took advantage of chance to dress down, wearing a sleek python leather jacket, paint-washed black denim, and cherry red T-strap sandals. Wilde’s former House co-star, Jennifer Morrison, also showed the rest of the attendees how it’s done in a sexy navy mini-dress that fit her, and the night, just so.
Naturally, the usual I’m-so-L.A. suspects, and former High School Musical stars, Vanessa Hudgens and Ashley Tisdale sported signature looks. Tisdale in a flirty floral peasant top and denim cutoffs, while Hudgens wore a rosary necklace that annoys us to no end.
this is some kind of spaceship or something.
