Don’t call Miranda Kerr a one-trick pony, or any of the other Victoria’s Secret models for that matter. These girls may have gotten their first big hits stripping down to their bra and underwear, but they’re getting a little more credit these days. With high end ad campaigns and couture shoots under their designer belts, the days of Victoria’s Secret models as solely sex symbols seem long gone.
With Alessandra Ambrosio as the face of Moschino’s 2010 advertising campaign, and Adriana Lima’s Vogue España shoot, Miranda Kerr needed to step up her fashion game as well. And according to Modelinia, Jil Sander is going to help her do just that.
“It’s nice to have variety in my work,” Miranda told Modelinia. “I don’t ever want to feel pigeon-holed. I still have more coming out this year – a Jil Sander campaign, Vogue…”
With one high fashion photoshoot behind her in next month’s i-D, it appears that she’s following in the high heeled footsteps of other Angels past (Gisele Bündchen, Jessica Stam, Doutzen Kroes) and joining the modeling elite.
