For the second year in a row, Miu Miu will be showing its Women’s Tales at the Venice Film Festival.
The Italian fashion label will present the fifth and sixth installments of the female-directed series — Le Donne della Vucciria by Hiam Abbass and The Door by Ava DuVernay — in partnership with Venice Days, an independent film show. Discussion panels on the two short movies and the role of women in cinema are also planned for the days following the Aug. 29 premiere.
Last year, Miu Miu tapped Lucrecia Martel, Zoe Cassavetes, Giada Colagrande and Massy Tadjedin for the first four high-concept, clothes-filled narratives, which are all available to watch on the house’s website.
